Community Involvement

We work with Great Plains, Animal Haven, Wayside Waifs, Unleashed, and Purrfect Pets.  All of which are humane orgranizations dedicated to helping care for abused, neglected or homeless animals in and around Kansas City and Shawnee.

We also proudly sponsor area youth baseball and soccer teams, an adult triathlon club, and are frequent contributors to Parkinson’s disease research and Susan G. Komen for The Cure, a breast cancer fundraising group. Somerset Animal Hospital also routinely contributes funds to the Kansas State University Pet Trust Educational Scholarship Fund. We are very proud of our contributions–both in volunteer hours and financial–to our communities. 

Local Charitable Giving

Somerset Animal Hospital partners with charities that are not only local, but also share our core ideals of improving the lives of the pets and the people of Kansas City.

We have previously partnered with charities such as 15 And The Mahomies, who support various local endeavors to help children in need; be that mental, physical, or financial hardships, and Imagine Furever Ranch, a local canine rescue sanctuary.
